Along with our partners in South Africa, we have
undertaken a collaboration with the Department of Nature Conservation of
Saasveld Campus (part of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) whose
mission is to develop competent and dedicated staff and students who are
able to contribute to the sustainable development of the community through
excellence in scholarship, research and community outreach.
Part of this project focuses on carbon offsets by means of tree planting,
and it also provides for research on and protection of endangered bird
species of the area.
